Rita Tranquilli, M.D.

Dr. Tranquilli received her medical degree from the University of Illinois. She completed a psychiatry residency, as well as a movement disorders fellowship, at Duke University and a neurology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She has practiced both specialties for many years and is  dually certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Tranquilli enjoys working with adults of all ages. Her clinical interests include  mood disorders, psychosis, OCD, ADHD, dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Tourette Syndrome, and medication-induced movement disorders. She is  particularly interested in the interface of spirituality and medicine. Dr. Tranquilli believes that compassion is the most important trait that a clinician brings  to the doctor-patient relationship.
